Watch cats at America’s Family Pet Expo put their best paws forward as they enter the show ring to be judged by the Cat Fancier’s Association. A cat show comprises a number of separate, concurrently running, individual shows held in the various judging rings throughout a show hall. Each cat entered is evaulated by each judge, and judged according to a written standard for its breed. Maybe you’ve thought about entering your cat in the CFA contest. The Birdman (R), Joe Krathwohl, has dedicated his life to the care and preservation of birds, especially the huge Andean Condors. Krathwohl operates a bird sanctuary where he rescues and rehabilitates birds of all kinds. Along with his conservation work, Joe also works closely with Las Vegas entertainers who feature birds in their productions to ensure that their feathered stars are well cared for and happy. He also supplies birds and animals for Hollywood TV Shows and feature films. Kid’s Aquarium Contest

Turn off the TV and the Video Games and trade them in for imagination, creativity and self expression. What have you got? The Kid’s Aquarium Contest! Each participant receives a 10 gallon aquarium, heater, filter and water and the kids add their own fish and unique decorations. If you have questions ask the Aquarium Experts on hand to help. The aquariums will be on display throughout the Expo, and are judged according to age group and three categories Natural, Creative and Themed. Every participant is ultimately a winner because after the Expo, each child may take the entire setup home. Bring your kids over to sign up for participation in next year’s Kid’s Aquarium Contest. School age kids, 5 to 16 years old are encouraged to participate.

Pedro Munoz Sanchez of Rancho Tres Potrillos aka 3 Colts Ranch has brought three of his trained horses for exhibition. Pedro trains his horses much in the Roy Rogers tradition of tricks and Alta Escuela (High School Movements of Dressage). The breeds of horses being shown are Andalusian, Azteca and Friesian which are known as the Baroque Breeds. These horses know that they are beautiful and special and carry themselveswith confidence, arogance and natural agility in everything they do. Pedro offers 6 stallions for breeding at our ranch in Molalla, Oregon along with training, sales and private lessons. FeatherDance - Dancing with Friesians
FeatherDance, owned and operated by Susan Dyer-DeBoer, is an equine entertainment organization dedicated to the promotion of the Friesian horse. FeatherDance was conceived of as a way to promote and share Susan’s love of the Friesian horse. Traveling the countryside, Susan not only performs with the BlackPearl on her keystone performance stallion, Marco, but she also provides clinics on a variety of topics including horse hair care, nutrition, and trick training basics. Feel the Power - perhaps more than any other breed, the Friesian has illustrated his extreme versatility as a war horse, a light draft horse, a harness racing horse, a circus horse and of course, a modern dressage horse of unparalleled beauty and talent. Known for an abundance of hair (manes can be in excess of 5 feet long), a lively and high-stepping trot, and a powerful, thundering canter, you will often “feel” the Friesian coming long before you see him! Valentines famous performing mini pigs awe the audiences by playing soccer, golf, bowling, skateboarding, even "ham dunking".The diminutive porkers all have separate personalities. Snort is mischievous and has a sense of humor. Nellie is smart and determined. Petunia is a buxom laid back prima donna. Oinky is an adorable spoiled baby piglet. The swine have graced the sets of Jay Leno, David Letterman, Animal Planet and Oprah. The sty is not the limit for these pigs!
