JUMP! The Ultimate Dog Show
This is a non-stop, action packed, canine thrill show that showcases incredible dogs and their handlers performing amazing stunts to upbeat music that will thrill audiences of all ages.  Most of the performing pet stars have been adopted from various animal shelters throughout the US, as we stress the importance of pet adoption, plenty of crowd participation and amazing novel pet tricks.  This show will be a must-see hit!

Northwest Wiener Races for Rescue – For 5 years now the Wiener Tales’ gang has been coordinating their Wiener Dog Contest and Race fundraisers for fun and enjoyment, as well as raising awareness about the Dachshund breed and Rescue. www.wienerraces.com Proceeds always benefit Almost Home Dachshund Rescue Society along with several other local Doxie rescues. Watch cats at America’s Family Pet Expo put their best paws forward as they enter the show ring to be judged by the Cat Fancier’s Association.  A cat show comprises a number of separate, concurrently running, individual shows held in the various judging rings throughout a show hall.  Each cat entered is evaulated by each judge, and judged according to a written standard for its breed.  Maybe you’ve thought about entering your cat in the CFA contest.  Well, the experts are here and can explain to you how it all works.  Be sure to stop by and see what’s involved!  The daily line-up includes many presentations – check the schedule of events to see which ones are a must see for you!

These gentle, friendly animals are one of the oldest domesticated animals in the world.  Llamas are extremely intelligent and easily trained to carry a pack or pull a cart.  Come see these magnificent animals in action!  Wool spinning will take place throughout the day in the Centennial Building.

WINGS of the World Bird Show

The Birdman (R), Joe Krathwohl, has dedicated his life to the care and preservation of birds, especially the huge Andean Condors. Krathwohl operates a bird sanctuary where he rescues and rehabilitates birds of all kinds. Along with his conservation work, Joe also works closely with Las Vegas entertainers who feature birds in their productions to ensure that their feathered stars are well cared for and happy.  He also supplies birds and animals for Hollywood TV Shows and feature films. Nancy Rouas will present colorful parrots, noble eagles, musical cockatoos, marvelous macaws, cranes, storks, and much more!

See how baby birds are raised—from incubating eggs with rare birds, Brooders, baby cages, and more.  Handfeeding demonstrations will take place throughout the day.  LoryLeague.org is a fun group Promoting Lories as pets and in Aviculture.  Learn more about these outstanding colorful birds, their diet requirements, personalities and more.  Learn easy tips for keeping Lories as pets.  Lories are great fun to watch their playful activities.  Join us to be part of this exciting and active group.

Walk Through Aviary

Bird Show Hookbill Show

All parrots are eligible to be shown from Parakeets to Macaws.  Show cages are not required.  SPBE Judge Philip Feret will teach while judging as to how and why points and awards are given at shows.  Shows are fun and educational.  Enter your birds to participate, or come to watch and learn more about the birds and showing.  See Janet and her top 2 parrots from Missouri!  If birds are your thing, be sure to pick up some information about the SPBE.

Kid’s Aquarium Contest

Turn off the TV and the Video Games and trade them in for imagination, creativity and self expression.  What have you got?  The Kid’s Aquarium Contest!  Each participant receives a 10 gallon aquarium, heater, filter and water and the kids add their own fish and unique decorations.  If you have questions ask the Aquarium Experts on hand to help.  The aquariums will be on display throughout the Expo, and are judged according to age group and three categories Natural, Creative and Themed. Every participant is ultimately a winner because after the Expo, each child may take the entire setup home. Bring your kids over to sign up for participation in next year’s Kid’s Aquarium Contest.  School age kids, 5 to 16 years old are encouraged to participate.

Creepy Crawly Critter Show

In this show, you will get a chance to see some of the more unusual wildlife sharing this world.  Audiences will get an up-close view of snakes, scorpions, lizards, crabs, frogs, spiders and other odd predators.  With Nancy Rouas as your guide, you will learn more about these magnificent animals. You may even leave not feeling “creepy and crawly” at all!

Beautiful, aren’t they?  But do you know what is involved in the Care, feeding and love of birds?  If you are interested in a feathered friend for a pet, please take the time to talk to the experts at America’s Family Pet Expo who can advise and inform you as to the needs and care of these beautiful and intelligent representatives of the avian world.

Miniature Horse Demonstrations

Come see those marvelous minis!  The Pierce County Miniature Horse & Pony Club is excited to share their love for their four legged friends with you.  They are a family oriented club and operate with the emphasis of family and fun.  These people are here to exhibit jumping, obstacle, ground driving obstacle and freestyle dance and much more.  These horses might be mini, but are great entertainment.  Don’t miss this event!

Adalusion Horse Presentation

Pedro Munoz Sanchez of Rancho Tres Potrillos aka 3 Colts Ranch has brought three of his trained horses for exhibition.  Pedro trains his horses much in the Roy Rogers tradition of tricks and Alta Escuela (High School Movements of Dressage).  The breeds of horses being shown are Andalusian, Azteca and Friesian which are known as the Baroque Breeds.  These horses know that they are beautiful and special and carry themselveswith confidence, arogance and natural agility in everything they do.  Pedro offers 6 stallions for breeding at our ranch in Molalla, Oregon along with training, sales and private lessons.  We hope that you enjoy what you see, ask many questions, give comments and come down for a visit at our ranch.

FeatherDance - Dancing with Friesians
FeatherDance, owned and operated by Susan Dyer-DeBoer,  is an equine entertainment organization dedicated to the promotion of the Friesian horse.  FeatherDance was conceived of as a way to promote and share Susan’s love of the Friesian horse.  Traveling the countryside, Susan not only performs with the BlackPearl on her keystone performance stallion, Marco, but she also provides clinics on a variety of topics including horse hair care, nutrition, and trick training basics.  For more information regarding FeatherDance, please visit our website at www.featherdance.org  These fabulous Friesians will Dance Into Your Heart with their choreographed dances to beautiful music.  They have been referred to as The Horse of Kings, rare and beautiful, powerful and true.  The Friesian was highly praised for its talent in dressage and was used in the Spanish Riding school in the 1600s.   Feel the Power - perhaps more than any other breed, the Friesian has illustrated his extreme versatility as a war horse, a light draft horse, a harness racing horse, a circus horse and of course, a modern dressage horse of unparalleled beauty and talent.  Known for an abundance of hair (manes can be in excess of 5 feet long), a lively and high-stepping trot, and a powerful, thundering canter, you will often “feel” the Friesian coming long before you see him!  Take a Step Back in Time as you watch the Friesians perform.   You will find yourself stepping back to ancient times and viewing one of the greatest war horses in action.  The Friesian brings about a primal memory of an ancient time where horses of grandeur were utilized to inspire awe, exemplify power and an absolute sense of “one-ness with their riders. One does not need to be a horse person to appreciate the beauty and presence of the Friesian and experience that awe inspiring beauty, power and presence for the first time.

Valentines Performing Pigs
Valentines famous performing mini pigs awe the audiences by playing soccer, golf, bowling, skateboarding, even "ham dunking".The diminutive porkers all have separate personalities. Snort is mischievous and has a sense of humor. Nellie is smart and determined. Petunia is a buxom laid back prima donna. Oinky is an adorable spoiled baby piglet. The swine have graced the sets of Jay Leno, David Letterman, Animal Planet and Oprah. The sty is not the limit for these pigs!
